Moran Rd

Moran Road runs east to west between Hillsboro Rd and Old Natchez Trace it crosses over the beautiful Harpeth River about 0.5 miles west of Old Hillsboro Rd. This half mile stretch of the road encompasses the River Rest development. After crossing over the Harpeth River heading west the properties turn into relatively large residential farms and equestrian properties with substantial luxury type homes. Moran Road become a road of distinction in 1997 when Alan Jackson build his home their on a 135 acre estate called “Sweet brier.”   He later sold the property in 2010 for $28 million. Moran Road was recently repaved in 2013 and is a popular road for walkers, joggers and bikers due to its unprecedented beauty with its rolling hills and stone wall fences.
